Absolute Waste Solutions is open for investment

Absolute Waste Solutions (AWS) is on a mission to build and operate the largest network of waste-to-energy stations in the UK to help create a sustainable future powered by otherwise unrecyclable waste.

We have partnered with a developer who is building two stations, located in Corby and Knapton, which will generate a combined 153,738 MWe a year from 250,000 MT of waste and provide businesses with locally produced heat, cooling & energy.

Currently, the projects have already had confirmed interest from some of the UK’s largest infrastructure funds and our developer is also in advanced negotiations for the sale of heat and electricity with various off-takers around both sites.

AWS is now raising 750k to secure the land deposits and associated development costs of these two waste-to-energy stations.

Key Facts for Absolute Waste Solutions

  • Building two waste-to-energy facilities, using Refuse Derived Fuel.
  • The projects are now considered ready to build, requiring only legal and technical due diligence to be completed.
  • Three of the UK’s largest infrastructure funds have confirmed interest to fund the projects once the land has been secured and are keen to sign exclusivity.
  • AWS is a subsidiary of Absolute Investment Partners, a leading financial advisory firm and investment company focused on the global energy and infrastructure market with over 634MW of renewable energy transactions funded to date.

Our waste-to-energy stations will operate on a waste source known as Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF), which is a mixture of materials such as paper, plastics and wood from the municipal or commercial waste stream.

By using this type of waste, our facilities will not only prevent that waste from being sent to landfill, which has a negative impact on the environment, but also help to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels for energy. This is also in-line with UK Government policy around developing more low-carbon and securing sources of energy supply.

As the UK currently produces an enormous amount of RDF, exporting around 2.5MT alone each year to Europe for incineration; our future truly depends on reusing this waste as resource.
