With the global population predicted to reach 9 billion people by 2030, we are using more resources than the planet can provide and our future depends on reusing what we have sustainably.
Fortunately, there is one resource with unlimited potential - waste.
Our mission is to build and operate the largest network of waste-to-energy stations in the UK which will help to:
- Divert thousands of metric tons of refuse derived fuel waste from UK landfill
- Save thousands of metric tons of carbon emissions
- Provide businesses with locally produced heat, cooling & energy.
We are starting by building two waste-to-energy facilities located in Corby and Knapton.
Absolute Waste Solutions (AWS) is a subsidiary of Absolute Investment Partners (AIP), a leading financial advisory firm and investment company focused on the global energy and infrastructure markets, with specialised expertise in the renewable energy industries and over 634MW of renewable energy transactions funded to date.
AWS is a special purpose vehicle formed solely for the funding of land deposits and associated development costs of two waste-to-energy stations in Corby and Knapton, which process waste into heat and power.
AWS is working with the developer WES to provide finance for deposits payable to secure the land for the building of two waste-to-energy processing stations.
The facilities will process a combined 250,000 MT of waste and generate 153,738 MWe a year.
With grid connection, planning approval and long-term feedstock supply have secured for both Corby and Knapton these projects are considered ready to build and require only legal and technical due diligence to be completed.
